Our Beginning and Establishment: A message from the President & CEO on integrity and transparency

In a world overwhelmed by conflicts and wars, children remain the most vulnerable and affected group. And because standing by as mere observers does not align with the values held by humane individuals, a group of people—driven by compassion and a strong belief in helping others—came together with the desire to extend a helping hand to these children. They were confident that many others share the same belief in bringing joy and smiles to children’s faces. 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐚 𝐊𝐢𝐝𝐬 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧.

Believing in the importance of organized and legal humanitarian work, a nonprofit organization was officially registered in the United States, along with a registered branch in Palestine. This dedicated group, firmly committed to its humanitarian mission, worked diligently to complete all registration in the U.S. (501(c)(3)) as well as fulfilling all legal requirements in Palestine.

Shortly after obtaining its official registration, Samaa Kids succeeded in building a wide and strong network of volunteers and local humanitarian organizations across Palestine. Through this network, the organization implements its relief projects and rapid emergency interventions to support children and their families.

Any contribution from individuals or institutions who believe in the mission of Samaa Kids and the humanitarian role we exist to fulfill can truly help alleviate the suffering of children. After the devastating war that Gaza has endured—leaving behind thousands of displaced families who lost their homes and many children who lost their caregivers—basic needs such as infant formula, a tent, a blanket, a mattress, or even a simple cover have become dreams for many families.

Samaa Kids upholds the highest standards of transparency and integrity, ensuring that every contribution reaches those in need while preserving their dignity. Even the smallest contribution can make these children feel that they are not alone—that there are people who genuinely care about bringing a smile to their faces, just like any child in the world.
